Ok I lied a bit, far cry does lag a little.
But still it would not change much on the time it takes to do a whole routing process on amedium board. Maybe for some very intense memory usage applications it would make a difference, but for everyday use, I see none.

If someone could also explain to me why my driver issues have just come back. Seriously, if Vista fails for no other reason that reason is that it is incompatible with most Nvidia graphics cards. Makes me so mad to have my games crash every hour or so. They seemed to have fixed it, but the last update I installed brought it back.

2008 + 5 = 2013.

Or, 2006 + 5 = 2011.

So either you will enjoy your "good" OS for a year before they stop supporting it, or you will be a year too late for it to be good.

Just to remind you all Vista loving morons (because, well, it's like shouting "fiat 126p is an awesome and cheap vehicle!"), XP will be supported till 2014, Vista till 2012. Haha.

Vista will be supported after 2012 i'm sure, it'll just take that long to get good.

Meanwhile Windows 7 will probably be worse than Windows Vista on release at this rate.

I have an unrelated question:

When multi-booting XP and Vista, which should be installed first?

Doesn't matter, as you are multi booting.

With the case of XP and Vista I could see the install order not matter for dual booting, but when it comes to xp/vista and linux there is an order that has to be followed or xp/vista will hate your computer.

I could be wrong of course, I havent researched this in a while.

The errors on vista seem to be multiplying instead of diminishing. Over the last few days, every time i play GW it crashes (i.e. freezes my entire computer causing manual reboot) every 15 minutes or so. My event log shows no other errors other than the following: Unable to initialize the security package Kerberos for server side authentication. The data field contains the error number.

A quick google search showed me this is an error INTRODUCED by SP1. Yep, adding new errors. The tech guy's advice was for me to just ignore it. How he expects me to ignore an error that prompts a restart every 15 minutes is beyond me.

That error is not what's causing your computer to crash, or at least it shouldn't be. It shouldn't have any effect unless you're on a Domain that uses Kerberos authentication.

True, it shouldn't be what causes it. but it in fact is. It's the only error with that time stamp. Further research seems to have indicated it may be to do with the nvidia driver isses. When combined with this it causes computer crashes when playing games. There are quite a few of us floating around with this issue. Most of us using nvidia 8600's.

I did a regedit fix, and changed the enabling value from 1 to 0 and it fixed it right up. So it was that error that was causing it.

@DarkNecrid - WROOOONG. Your precious Vista was in fact that cause of the problem.

Vista is working just great, except the fact that my wlan connection has some serious lag issues(wich apparently is OS' fault). Every 60 secs there's a lag spike. Can't play gw because of that. Have to change to lan.. Vista is heavy of course, but even with my computer specs ir runs well(almost all the time. But hey, xp can be slow sometimes, yes?)
I got Intel Dual core E8600 3.0Ghz, Geforce 8800 GTS (640mt version) and 3.25 G of Ram and Vista 32bit

Your PC is more than enough to run Vista well. The issue is still that Vista is horrid. Vista needs to be stoned or burned at the stake, for serious....
